We interviewed three different companies in order to find one to manage our 44 unit property in Mountain View. We chose to work with BT Properties because there seemed to be a balance with the owners, Mary Ann and David. It was a different dynamic with the other ones that we encountered. What was different was that they seemed open and willing to listen to ideas and discussion. They ask what are you looking for instead of: we provide you with this. This is reflected in their management style where many of the managers are women. The women managers are willing to work and listen to people and their ideas. David, As you know, I was and am a big fan of Brett. He did an exemplary job and set a very high level of service. Consequently, it was only natural to have some reservations at a change in management in August, 2016. Those reservations have disappeared. The new management team did not miss a beat. It was a smooth, competent, and highly professional changeover. In fact, the current onsite property manager, who was hired by the new team, is the best one by far in my ten years of ownership. BT Properties is terrific on the day to day management of the property and rises to the occasion when a special circumstance comes along. We did a highly complex refinance at the end of 2016. BT Properties has been managing our property since 2007. For those 14 years, we have been quite satisfied with the job they have been doing. However, during this recent pandemic, they have really shined. Not only the entire staff at BT, but, more importantly, the Regional Team of Scott and Rosario has gone beyond our expectations.
